Governor Ralph Northam and the Virginia Dept. of Health announced that the state’s COVID-19 vaccination program is now in Phase 2 – open to all Virginians. Previously, residents had to wait to meet age or health criteria before registering. “The COVID-19 vaccine is the light at the end of the tunnel—and that light is getting brighter every day as more and more Virginians get vaccinated,” said Governor Northam. The CDC recommends that cancer patients be vaccinated. However, the decision is best made in conjunction with your clinical care team, especially while undergoing treatment. To register for the vaccine, visit vaccinate.Virginia.gov or call 1-877-VAX-IN-VA.
