Pranitha Naini, MD

Dr. Naini was born and raised in India and moved to the U.S. after her marriage. Growing up she was always fascinated with the field of medicine, watching doctors helping people and relieving their pain and suffering.

After experiencing cancer firsthand when her dear aunt succumbed to the disease, Dr. Naini decided to pursue a career in oncology. She also endured being the caretaker for her father during his cancer journey. It was during her training that she saw how her mentors made a profound impact on the lives of their cancer patients—giving them hope and providing kindness and compassion.

Dr. Naini has been practicing since 2007. She earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. After completing her residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins University at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore she then completed her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.

Although Dr. Naini handles all tumor types, she has a special interest in breast, lung and neurological cancers. Her goal is to provide hope and comfort while treating her patients with kindness, compassion and respect with the motto to treat every patient like she would treat her loved one.

Receiving many career accolades, Dr. Naini was the recipient of the ‘Best Fellow of the Year’, ‘Best Physician of the Year’ and the ‘Most Admired and Respected Clinician’ by her colleagues.

Dr. Naini’s world is her family and work. She feels blessed to have a loving and supportive husband and two wonderful children.  In her free time, she enjoys gardening, staying fit with exercise and creating memories with family and friends.
