FORCE is a support and information site for women at risk of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer due to family history or BRCA genetic status.
The Lynne Cohen Foundation for Ovarian Cancer Research is a national nonprofit organization uniquely positioned to fight ovarian cancer. A network of preventive care clinics, a consortium of physician scientists from prestigious cancer centers around the country, and a national data registry of high-risk patients from diverse communities comprise the core of our direct efforts. From this multi-institutional research platform, we seek to increase survival rates for women with ovarian cancer by supporting research for the prevention and early detection of both ovarian and breast cancer.
We are a woman-led non-profit organization with 12 years of leadership in the field of cancer recovery through exercise. We are movement therapists, exercise specialists, psychologists, and doctors. Moving For Lifeâ„¢ is holistic and emphasizes self-awareness, self-respect and community. MFL programs began in NYC for women with breast cancer classes and are now around the nation and globe.
The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition’s mission is to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and to promote education about the disease. By dispelling myths and misunderstandings, the Coalition is committed to improving the overall survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer. The Coalition provides help and hope about ovarian cancer with public education and awareness, state divisions, a toll-free Help Line, comprehensive web site, peer support, publications and special projects.
The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance is the foremost advocate for women with ovarian cancer in the United States. To advance the interests of women with ovarian cancer, the Alliance advocates at a national level for increases in research funding for the development of an early detection test, improved health care practices, and life-saving treatment protocols. The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance educates health care professionals and raises public awareness of the risks and symptoms of ovarian cancer.
